Aplus.Net’s
extensive Knowledge Base (KB) is available at http://apluskb.com.
It contains thousand of “How to” answers, most of them
based on actual customers’ questions. The main goal of the
KB is to cover with explanations and instructions all of our services
including shared hosting, dedicated hosting, domain registrations,
web design, as well as all tools available in our award-winning
web Control Panel.
Generally,
you have two options of using the KB: as a Guest user, or
as a Registered user. The former is the default setting,
while the latter allows you to ask private questions to the KB
maintainers and receive private answers. The second option is valuable
when you have a specific question related to your personal account,
or you were just unable to find the needed information.
I.
KNOWLEDGE BASE SEARCH INTERFACE:
Browsing
the KB as a Guest user is easier – just go to http://apluskb.com and
choose one of the three search modes by clicking on the corresponding
links:

Ask your question – use natural language or specific keywords
to search for answers. The KB Search Engine will return documents
that match your target keywords. It will sort the results by the
number of unique visits and customer rating. In simple words, you
will see the most popular documents on top. Please note that this
search method will show results from all KB Categories.

Browse – allows you to browse the KB Category tree located
in the upper left panel. By opening a specific KB category you
will be presented with all available answers for that particular
section of the Aplus.Net services.
II.
KNOWLEDGE BASE USER ACCOUNT:
And
here is how to make use of the KB as a Registered user:

Go to http://apluskb.com and
click on the Register here link found in the left navigation
bar.

Type in
your valid email address in the respective text field. A confirmation
email will be sent to that email address. It will contain a validation
link you need to click on in order to create your account.

Check the
box next to Notify me by email when my questions are
answered, if you want to use this option.

Click the Register button.
-
Now, check
your email and click on the validation link to complete the registration.
III.
ASK PRIVATE QUESTIONS:
Here
is how to ask a private question and check the answer:

Go to http://apluskb.com and
enter your KB account email address in the Login text field
found in the left navigation bar.

Click the Go button.
-
Click on
the Ask in Private tab found on the top navigation bar.

Type in
your question in the text field. Please be aware that there is
a 160 character limitation. You may also decide to specify the
question category.

Click the Submit
Question button when ready.
There
are two ways for the KB maintainers to answer your question. Either
by providing a link to an existing KB document, or by
sending you a personal email message to your email account. Either
way, if you have selected the option Notify me by email when
my questions are answered, the answer will be sent to
your email account. Otherwise, if your question is answered with
an existing KB document, you can find the answer by clicking the Personal
Folder tab located in the top navigation bar. Your KB questions
will always be answered within 24 hours.
IV.
RATE KNOWLEDGE BASE ANSWERS:
It
is very important for us to receive constant feedback from our
customers for the quality of the Knowledge Base documents. That’s
why we have developed a rating system and we kindly ask you to
use it for each document you have read.
For
each document you can:

Check the current average rating.

Check the number of visits.
-
Rate the document content.
-
Post Comment/Feedback.
